Internship Opportunity

Coney Island Studios is an independent media production company on Madison’s east side. We have a full-length documentary in post-production and numerous media projects that are ongoing. WE LOVE INTERNS and do our best to provide a fun and educationally rewarding experience in a helpful and driven environment. 

Most (but not all) candidates are in college and want to complete an internship as part of their course load – areas of study include: communication arts, media, marketing, advertising, and brand development.

Our internships last 3 to 6 months, or one to two semesters.

Consider a Coney Island internship if you are interested in the following future positions: 

Project Management, Media Production, Office Coordinator/Manager, Assistant Producer.

Work with Coney founder, Wendy Schneider, and Coney staff on the following:

Ø Support on all media production in-house

Ø Support social media and graphic design

Ø Manage mailing lists, archives, and digital library

Ø Keep the studio organized and clean

Ø Assist with research 

Ø Some errands (having a car is a bonus, not a requirement)

Strengths we’re looking for:

Ø Written, verbal, organizational, analytical and interpersonal skills.

Ø Open mindedness

Ø Proficient MAC computer skills, proficient in Microsoft Office.

Ø High level of self-motivation and comfort working independently when necessary.

Ø Poised and works well under pressure.

Ø Attentive to detail and willingness to work simultaneously on a wide range of tasks and projects and ability to prioritize tasks.

Ø Punctual beyond measure. 

*Stipend for expenses offered after 30-day trial period.
